It's been so long since I've blogged that, good grief, I can't remember how to do it.
Of course, the burning question in all of your minds is "Just WHERE are you living right now, Ms. Eclectic?" "What operating System are you using?" and "Are you crazy yet?"
In a word (or two) I can answer those burning questions: I'm in a friends garage, Windows, and yes.
So, backing up. House Number One fell through.(In a words: Short Sale, title defect could not be rectified in the time frame alotted. We decided to move on.90 days will do that to you.) We figured we'd just pull all our stuff out of storage and rent until next spring/summer. Meanwhile, however, we decided to look at a few other houses we were mildly interested in. Mildly. No great hope. And then Lo! we found a lovely little house. Perfect. Perfecter than the last house. And we really liked that one. And guess what? The sellers could close FAST. Oh frabjous day! Calloo Callay? (Channeling Lewis Carroll has got me throught the hard times. Well, Lewis and a rose wine.) So, we are a few days away from closing on House Number Two.
Meanwhile, we have lived with friends on the aforementioned Farmette. Then thefriends with the Xbox...and then friends with the three year old. (oh, the things Ms. D learned!) and now we are in a small garage- type aparment of some friends who are between tennants.
And I am crazy. Oh, certifiably so. But I will be crazy with my own house! Mine! Mine! Mine! I will share it with no one else! (Insert maniacal laughter here)
I can't wait to get back to "real" life. I never knew how much I craved a routine until I found myself without much of one. Go figure. The 'schedule rebel' settles down. I miss my supportive "real life" homeschool group, too.
I can NOT wait to get back to blogging (thanks to a dear friend for letting me borrow this amazing little laptop I am now addicted to) and talk nonsense and books and homeschooling and blogs and me, me, me! I can't imagine all the homeschool brou-ha-ha and boycotts I've missed! And really, hasn't the blog world missed my valuable two cents??
And speaking of blogs....let's talk about those that have dropped by, even while I was yet on my hiatus and not writing diddley. And yet, they stopped, paused and commented. You KNOW how I love, love, LOVE comments. So here are a few new people/blogs I've discovered:
Mare from the Mare's Nest stopped by to say "hi" and that she'll be back to see if I'm totally nuts yet. I hope I've answered her question fully.
Next, Lani from The Wooden Porch stopped by, but I lost her blog! She's out there somewhere I'm sure of it. Perhaps she'll stop by and let us know where she is. Cause I liked her blog.
Rae at Rae of Sunshine also came by to cheer my X box "skillz". Check out her blogging skillz, dude.
And thanks to my faithful followers: K, Blanchette and Aunt Jenny, too!
As I write, my daughter is being intiated into the world of Guitar Hero. Brother. I can SO do Joan Jett better than she can. Gotta go.......
(And homeschooling? Oh, right, this was a blog about homeschooling....um...we'll get to that....hey, I figured out how to blog again! And I did the whole thing 'mouseless' too!)
