So here I am writing to you from a "farmette" that we are staying on courtesy of some friends who are on vacation. (We needed a house, they needed a house sitter. Gee. How convenient.)
I can't wait to show you pictures and tell you what we've learned whilst here for five days with 1 dog, 2 puppies, 2 cats, 1 kitten, 2 rabbits, 10 ducks,8 chickens, 2 pigs and 2 sheep and a caged bird. I feel a little bit like
HER and
HER. Except we all got the flu. I bet that NEVER happens to
real farm girls.
And I"m writing this from the farmettes MAC. I'm not sure about a MAC, let me tell you. I mean, I would write rapturously about MACS and how much I love them over my old PC, but the fact is, they haven't sponsored me to do so. Had I attended the blogHer convention, I'm sure I would be all on board with that whole sponsorship gig,but alas. Thusly, I can NOT, without sponsorship, in all good conscience praise this MAC that I have blogged this post with. I find it very "mouse bound" if that makes sense. And this whole right click/left click thing that made life oh -so -simple is just happening for me right now. Perhaps it's withdrawals. I am sure, if I had a MAC GIVEN to me I'd get used to it and praise it in due course.
But enough of that.
What I'm really here to say is this. My friend since forever, Nona, who is a ARTISTE has recently painted a portrait of my sister-in-law, and it is stunning. There. I call it like I see it. Stunning. And since I am on the aforementioned MAC and can't seem to figure out ANYTHING without a right/left click and therefore cna't seem to download photos...well, you are just going to have to go to Nona's blog an check out the portrait of my sister in law. Please click
HERE. And don't forget to say Maria sent you. And that while my sister-in-law is totally cute, terribly portriatogenic (that is the painterly word for photogenic. I think.) that you'd really like to see ME up on that blog.
Oh. And my brother and sister-in-law,
whom you all know and love are going to Ecuador in August instead of coming to visit us in Maine again. I know, I know, that is really cruel of them, but please tell them to get me something really, really, nice from Ecuador.
