My New "Do"
I like my new summer blog "do" MUCH better than my new hair do...it feels fresh and, well, summery. Which is bizarre to say, because as I write this, it's about 32 degrees out. You may think I exaggerate, but I promise you that it feels like 32 degrees and that is really what matters.
One new addition to my blog is"Recent Comments" over at the right hand side bar. This gives us a chance to get to know one another and perhaps all join hands and have a sing a-long.
Typepad has changed some of their "inside" stuff. So when I post I'm figuring out how to use a bit of a new format. And frankly, I am not at one with technology. I am no Kip, I'll tell you that. So bear with me as pictures and text don't really line up that well.
Typepad also has some really neat newer color options for text which I am digging. Particularly, as they are naming the colors instead of numbering them...like this is Cactus...and Cantaloupe...and Fire Truck...and Salmon (did I ever tell you that it was the color Salmon that made me fall in love with David?) How about some Cool Granite or Mildew? Then there is Purple Dino. Sorry, Mr. Person who came up with that color name, that TOTALLY dates you. And really, Barney is a bit more Royal Grape don't you think?
And that, my friends, is just the colors I can write about....because there are some really cool color names that would NOT even show up here because they are too light...someone was missing the seaside when they came up with names like, Shrimp, Breakwater, Vapor, Morning Fog, Sea Mist, Sea Foam, Aqua Lung (hahaha) Sea Blue, and Dockside. Oddly, I see "Gull Guana", "Decayed Crab", "Cooked Lobster" and "Stinky Seaweed" missing from the theme. Wouldn't naming colors be the coolest job? Do you think Crayola would hire me?
Where was I? Oh, yeah, how do you like my new "do"?

Hey Merchick, I LOVE the new banner. So. Breezy. Think I'll go make a mimosa to celebrate. K

Everything is looking good.
My old blog, at Xanga, had all these features years ago, but Xanga itself isn't as OUT THERE and LIVING IN THE REAL WORLD like Typepad, so I made the change (to Typepad) last year. I'm so glad that their blogging features are finally getting caught up. That said, I haven't posted since the update, so I'm looking forward to trying it out.
Is it obvious that I'm drinking a beer mid-afternoon, you know, by the way that I keep on track and talk about things that people care about. Or, the fact that I'm blogging in your comments. :-/

Geesh, I really ought to explore the new wordpress options. Those color things could come in handy. Meanwhile, nice makeover !

Lots of stuff Wordpress has already had but then I hate Typepad passionately because it hates me and never lets me comment without rewriting the captcha 20 times and Wordpress plays nice.:) Plus I can install and run wordpress on my own server for free which is pretty awesome.

Oh, sorry. Bit of a grump today --nauseous and headachey and it is making me a crank. I meant that I love the new summer look.

Heather: don't worry about the grouch factor..I didn't even catch it..typepad never remembers me..does everyone else have that problem? Even when I tell it to it doesn't. What's with that?
Lori/soNOTcool: Pahleeze...always blog in my comments. I LOVE that.
And Katherine...send mimosa posthaste.

Hey Maria,
Apple green is my fourth favorite color! yes, I love the new look, but since I had been to your site only twice before I can't remember your old look, so this is probably wasted on me.
I SO hate Typepad's new comment page. Maybe it's my Firefox browser; I dunno. Nasty, nasty comments in the pipe, but I'll give them one more day.
